Did you know that Lillooet was the last place to ever have camels in BC? Did you even know BC had camels? I didn't. They used them for packing equipment to and from the mines.
Jason was quite happy to find this large piece of jade.
Max is getting big! I really believe that he's grown about 3" in height! He doesn't look so much like a puppy is this pic. LOL And he and Jason seem to have the same funny grin on their faces.
Max is slowly getting used to water. He seems to like it better if one of us are in it too. But he waded in and out of it as we all walked along the river's bank.
Here's a good one of Max. It's super hard to get him to stay still for a couple pics. But this one didn't turn out too bad!!
Isn't Lillooet gorgeous!!!? We'd so like to live here!!!They've started growing grapes here, as a test. They're hoping that if it works, they'll be able to bring in tourists for wine tasting tours. It's definitely a great place for such a thing. They also grow cherries, apricots and ginseng. According to Lillooet's website (www.lillooetbc.com), their economy is booming. So in the future, it may be a place for Jason and I to consider. Who knows!
Thought I'd add this one in. I'm always the one behind the camera but thought it might be nice for me to have a pic of Max and I too.
Well, stay tuned for more adventures from Jason, Max and I. I know we intend to continue to discover our new home and area. I'm really looking forward to it too!!
