And....we're here!!

Well, where do I begin? We're moved in and there's boxes EVERYWHERE! You turn around and there's a box. You try to sit down and there's a box. Boxes, boxes, boxes! It makes our already little place feel a lot littler. But we're happy to be here.
At the moment, we've got about 5-6 "leasees" here. (Those that lease a campsite year round.) We have a couple in a rustic cabin. As well, there's supposed to be a group of 4 men coming up but they have yet to arrive. Oh! Some one just let off a firecracker. Hmmm...are those things legal this time of year? Well they'd better be ready to be quiet soon, as it's almost 10pm.
So our boss told us to relax, get settled and just ease ourselves into Blue lake Resort. However, that has not been the case. We've had a bit of an adventure in the last couple days. We were having issues with our septic tank, so Jay had to dig a gigantic hole in the backyard. He found the problem and has, thankfully, got it sorted out.
Here's a few pics to give you an idea about what I'm talkin' about in regards to the massive amounts of boxes.
But of course I have to start off with the loft lol It's the least cluttered room in all of the house! Jay actually did most of the unpacking up here.

This is a bit of a weird angle, you can thank Jay for that, but here's all our boxes tucked into the corner where our dishwasher, kitchen table and chairs should/will be.
This is the view from the bottom of the stairs. Note that there's even stuff stacked on the chair! We have too much stuff. And yet, we got rid of sooooo much already!

And now this is looking towards the stairs, with the giant wall of boxes behind us. Fun times eh! Anyone wanna help??? =D

It has begun...

The moving of boxes and furniture has begun. Jay and his friend Chris have loaded up Chris' trlr and truck with Jay's "shop". (Desks, tools, etc, etc.) They'll be on their way to Blue Lake shortly.
The house is 60% packed. To make dinner last night, I had to unpack a box! Oh well, guess I'll just need to be a little less enthusiastic about packing everything right away.

We met our boss for the first time this past Tuesday. He's such a wonderful and kind man. He's also a believer. It'll be super nice for Jay and I to be working for someone who has the same belief system as us.

Here are a few pics of the inside of our new home. They are the living room and dinning room. Though, we're actually going to have our living room in the loft. So we're thinking we'll just have a couch in front of the fireplace.

Ugh! Packing!

The packing has begun. Along with the cleaning and scrubbing and all else that goes with moving. We've got 15 days to be packed and moved up to Blue Lake. 15 days! Ugh! Hope we can do it.

Here's a photo of the place that we're moving into. We share it with the office and a public washroom and shower. It's rustic but we like it.

A new chapter...

Where do I begin? As most of you know, Jason and I have been out of work since late Oct. We've applied to many many many jobs. But have had no real leads. Except for now!

Jason and I are going to be the Manager and Caretaker of a medium sized resort just outside of Boston Bar, BC. It's called Blue Lake Resort. It's situated right on Fishblue Lake. It's a small lake, only about 1.5 kms in circumference. They have 104 campsites for both RV and tenters. They also have a large lodge that can sleep up to 30 people and about a dozen "rustic" cabins/cottages.

Jason and I went up there yesterday, just to have a look around and to see what our living accommodations will be like. LOL, we've got a lot of sorting and packing ahead of us. We must down size, as the place we're moving into is a lot smaller than what we're currently in. But it's cute and will work well for us.

Please stayed tuned for more updates. And once I get our pictures uploaded, I'll post some on here for ya!
