Rubber Boa...so cool!

Jason and I found a Rubber Boa on Tues. (You can find more information about them here: http://www.bcreptiles.ca/snakes/rubberboa.htm)  We were walking through the campground and had to cross a creek. Jason jumped across easily but I needed a slightly narrower area. So I went down stream a bit. I was just about to step down and make my jump when Jason told me to stop and be quiet. He was crouching down near the edge of the creek and pointing. I too crouched down and there in the water was this snake! Of course we noticed that it wasn't your typical garter snake as it had a really stubby tail and was quite thick in body. Below are some pics we took. (Of course Jason had to touch it, so you'll see some pics of him holding it lol) This was actually icing on our cake for animals this week because on our way to church on Sun, as we were just about at Hwy 1 (coming down from the resort), we saw a large gray wolf run across the hwy! Oh how we wished we had our camera then!!
